Australia’s First Women’s Life Cycle Summit

Menopause, perimenopause and endometriosis are just some of the topics that will be discussed at Australia’s first Women’s Life Cycle Summit.

Scheduled for March 16 at Optus Stadium in Perth, City Fertility has partnered with Menopause Alliance Australia (MAA) to bring some of country’s best women’s health specialists together to discuss the joys and challenges women face.

Professor Roger Hart, National Medical Director of City Fertility Australia and a Director of MAA will speak on ‘Embarking on a journey through infertility: The curious case of POI and early menopause’.

As a recognised international leader in the field of infertility, Prof Hart has published more than 250 papers in the scientific literature in these fields and is looking forward to imparting his knowledge at the summit.

“Events like these go a long way toward educating women on things they perhaps didn’t know about their bodies, and potentially may warn them of important concerns with their own wellbeing, help them understand their own bodies, and inform them when to seek medical advice and understand the cycle of life,” Prof Hart said.

Prof Hart, who also holds the position of Professor of Reproductive Medicine at the University of Western Australia, is joined on the program by fellow City Fertility colleague Dr Jennifer Pontre, who will be addressing heavy periods, her topic ‘Let’s get candid about code red: Heavy periods’.

The keynote speaker for the summit is author and Menopause Alliance Australia ambassador, Kathy Lette. Most renowned for her novels Puberty Blues, and more recently, The Revenge Club, Ms Lette personifies the summit theme, which is ‘No women should be left behind’.

The Women’s Life Cycle Summit 2024 kicks off at 9.15am on Saturday, March 16, and runs through until 2pm (AWST).

Tickets cost $140, with attendees given the opportunity to participate in Q&A sessions with the experts during the day.
