Fertility Dietitan

Did you know that what mum and dad eat in the month’s leading up to conception helps to shape their baby’s future health through genetic programming? As well as drastically impacting the chances of conceiving?

Meet our Fertility Dietitian

Nick Nation is an accredited dietitian, husband and dad to two little ones. His specialist areas include fertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, weight management, cardiovascular health, irritable bowel syndrome, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes and sports nutrition

Nick takes nutrition seriously and that is partly because he had his own journey with being overweight. For the past 15 years, he is known in Perth and across Australia as a passionate public speaker and consultant.

Nick, a former radio MC and tour guide, founded a nutrition coaching service that builds on his own experience in his teens and early 20s. He now helps people change their nutrition habits and consults here at Fertility Specialists of WA to help women optimise their fertility.

Nick uses his ‘food as a medicine’ approach to help women and men understand that what they eat can impact their chances of conceiving and bringing a baby to full term. He also helps couples improve the success of fertility treatment.

"While fertility is clearly a complex issue, evidence reveals that digestive health plays a surprisingly significant role.”
