Dr Sebastian Leathersich

Dr Sebastian Leathersich is passionate about IVF, fertility care, and helping his patients achieve their dream of having a family.

Dr Leathersich received his medical degree at the University of Western Australia with Honours in 2014. He pursed further studies overseas and was awarded First Class Honours at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal for his thesis. Dr Leathersich completed a perinatal and maternal health internship with the World Health Organisation in Geneva. He also received his Master's degrees in Health Management and Public Health as a junior doctor, both conferred with Excellence. 

Dr Leathersich is dedicated to the fertility care and treatment of the LGBTI+ community by supporting them with the utmost care through out their fertility journey. He is committed to providing evidence-based care to all of his patients with expertise and compassion. 

Dr Leathersich completed his core training in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at King Edward Memorial Hospital and was awarded the medal for the highest mark in the written Fellowship examination across Australia and New Zealand. He received the David Liu and Tony McCartney prizes and the Camille Michener Award for his research. 

At present, Dr Leathersich is undertaking the advanced subspecialist Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) under the mentorship of Professor Roger Hart, National Medical Director of City Fertility. He works at Fertility Specialists of WA, the Perth Children's Hospital, and King Edward Memorial Hospital.
