An IVF "cycle" refers to a complete round of IVF treatment. While some individuals may need to start medication or injections prior to the first day of the cycle, the IVF journey officially begins with the onset of your period as a key milestone in your fertility plan.

What to do if your period falls over a holiday

We know that starting IVF may seem complicated, scary, and confusing, which is why we endeavor to help you every step of the way. On the occasion that the onset of your period falls on a weekend or public holiday and you have questions starting day one of your IVF cycle please follow our guidelines below: 

Day one falls on a Saturday

Please call the clinic before 12.30, leave a message, and go to a Clinipath on Monday before 8.30 for your blood test.

Day one falls on a Saturday of a long weekend.

Please call the clinic before 12.30, leave a message, and a nurse will return your call with instructions regarding your blood test.

Day one falls on a Sunday or a Public Holiday

Please call the clinic before 12.30, leave a message, and go to a Clinipath on the next business day before 8.30 AM for your blood test.
